Things to do around Inglewood

Inglewood offers a rare combination of urban living and fresh air. Near its western boundary, Gallatin Pike offers a slate of hip restaurants (you have to try Once Upon a Time in France and the Fye Fye Kitchen) and bars that many of Nashville’s residential districts can’t match. In the unlikely event that you get tired of these places, 5 points and Historic Edgefield are a mile or two down the road and provide a bunch of new shops and restaurants to fall in love with. For nature lovers, Two Rivers Park is right down the road. This huge swath of green and wooded land is home to miles of greenway and hiking trails that meander along the banks of the Cumberland River. It’s even one of Nashville’s most kid-friendly spaces, with a wave pool and a skate park on the Donelson side. Essentially, whether you want to be outdoors or indoors, Inglewood has you covered.

Parks and Recreation in Inglewood

Inglewood sits beside the Cumberland River, near the northern portion of Shelby Bottoms Park. Shelby Bottoms Park is a large greenway and nature center, featuring roughly 960 acres of land. Inglewood is near Phase 3 of the Shelby Bottoms Trail Head.

South Inglewood is also home to another favorite park - South Inglewood Park. The outdoor area features two playgrounds and a variety of paved pathways. You’ll also find a community center, complete with a game room and gym that are free to the public.

Considering how close the area is to Downtown Nashville, homes usually sell in the surprisingly reasonable $300k-$400k range. While there are a few more expensive exceptions—especially as you get closer to Lockeland Springs and Five Points—this accessible pricing is available throughout the neighborhood.
