Learn about Midtown

Who is Midtown a good fit for?

Midtown gains its recognition for being a hub for Nashville’s nightlife. Music lovers have a strong appreciation for the area, as it sits beside the famous Music Row. The neighborhood is also home to Vanderbilt University, making it a hotspot amongst college students. The location offers an overall residential vibe, but the crowd is primarily younger.

Where to eat, hang out and have a good time

One of the best and most famous restaurants in Midtown, and arguably all of Nashville, is Hattie B’s. They serve up dynamite Nashville hot chicken and it’s no joke. You’ll likely find a line outside the door at all times of the day, but it’ll be worth it. The area is also home to many other great restaurants, including Tavern and Catbird Seat.

Midtown’s nightlife scene is a driving factor for the area’s popularity. Sitting alongside Division Street, you’ll find a plethora of crowded bars. Local favorites include Dogwood, Rebar, Winners, and Losers. For a more sophisticated night out, we recommend checking out the unique cocktails at The Patterson House.

“Midtown is the perfect neighborhood for college students / recent grads.”

Midtown is the perfect neighborhood for college students / recent grads. It is also a great option if you are new to Nashville. The area is extremely fun and the nightlife scene is always booming! The rent prices are much cheaper than the Downtown/ Gulch area, but they are centrally located. I wouldn’t recommend this neighborhood for families as it can definitely become noisy.

“Midtown is a lively neighborhood that is home to many bars and restaurants”

Midtown is a lively neighborhood that is home to many bars and restaurants. Many Vandy students often frequent these bars. This means your condo or apartment may be a little noisy, but if you are a person who loves to go out then you might not even notice.
