Where to eat, hang out and have a good time

One of the best and most famous restaurants in Midtown, and arguably all of Nashville, is Hattie B’s. They serve up dynamite Nashville hot chicken and it’s no joke. You’ll likely find a line outside the door at all times of the day, but it’ll be worth it. The area is also home to many other great restaurants, including Tavern and Catbird Seat.

Midtown’s nightlife scene is a driving factor for the area’s popularity. Sitting alongside Division Street, you’ll find a plethora of crowded bars. Local favorites include Dogwood, Rebar, Winners, and Losers. For a more sophisticated night out, we recommend checking out the unique cocktails at The Patterson House.

Parks and Recreation in Midtown

Nestled within the popular neighborhood is Centennial Park. The large urban park accounts for over 130 acres of land, two dog parks, and a one-mile walking trail. The area also features a full-size Parthenon replica. In the warmer summer months, the famous location is home to a variety of outdoor events and festivals.

A smaller dog-friendly park, Owen Bradley Park, sits within the neighborhood's center. Its charming location is near Music Row and showcases a statue of the famous producer, Owen Bradley.

Centennial Park

2500 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203

Centennial Park is a replica of the Parthenon. But there are many other attractions like Lake Watauga, historical monuments, a sunken garden, open fields, walking and exercise trails. There are also events and festivals held at the Events Shelter or other locations through the park, as well as programs at the Centennial Art Center and Activity Center. Hidden are volleyball courts, two dog parks, and under the Parthenon lies a museum which many visit each year.

“Midtown is the perfect neighborhood for college students / recent grads.”

Midtown is the perfect neighborhood for college students / recent grads. It is also a great option if you are new to Nashville. The area is extremely fun and the nightlife scene is always booming! The rent prices are much cheaper than the Downtown/ Gulch area, but they are centrally located. I wouldn’t recommend this neighborhood for families as it can definitely become noisy.
